This is an exciting month! My work will be included in three shows around Salt Lake City, and one at the Springville Museum of Art in Springville.
On July 15th at The Rio (300 South Rio Grande Street), "Demographics" opens. The show will feature art work from artists Paige Anderson, Rebecca Klundt, LIberty Blake, Jenna Von Benedikt, Linnie Brown, Joe Ostraff, and me. The opening reception will be from 6-9 pm.
15th Street Gallery (1500 East, 1500 South) will be doing a plein air show with artists such as Rob Adamson, Ken Baxter, Aaron Bushnell, Michelle Condrat, and many more. Everyone will be out and about painting the area around the gallery. I'll be giving it a go as well.
Also beginning the 15th is a show called "Architecture of Place." It will feature nineteen works from the state art collection, including pieces by LeConte Stewart, Andrea Jensen, David Brothers, Daniel Everett, Mary Teasdell, and more. The Alice Gallery is located at 617 East, South Temple, right next to the governor's mansion. There will not be a reception for this show, but regular gallery hours are 8-5, M-F.
"Don't Read This Too" will open July 27th at the Springville Museum of Art. The premise of the show is integrating text into art. I have four pieces hanging next to works by Namon Bills, Aundrea Frahm, Joe Ostraff, Gary Barton, Liberty Blake, Linnie Brown, Christopher Shill, and Nick Stephens.
